FBA Announces Winners of the 2019 Southeast Environmental Justice Champion Awards

Tallahassee, Fla. - The Florida Brownfields Association (FBA) announced the winners of the 2019 Southeast Environmental Justice Champion Awards on Oct. 27, at the 2019 Southeast Brownfields Conference in Orlando, Fla. Winners were Ruth Reid, Michael R. Goldstein, and Patrick Barnes.

"Congratulations to all the winners,"said Sue-Ellyn Idelson, FBA board member.  "Environmental Justice is a cornerstone of brownfields redevelopment, and having strong leaders like these award winners helps keep those issues in the forefront of what we do in our communities." 

Nominations were collected for two months prior to the award announcement. A committee selected the winners based on their contributions to positive strides in Environmental Justice within the southeast. The Southeast Environmental Justice Champion Awards are presented annually at the Southeast Brownfields Conference.
